The following weekend we visited the historic village of Haworth, my old stomping ground, famous for the Bronte Parsonage, the home of the talented Bronte sisters. Keighley and Haworth also have a wonderful steam railway, The Worth Valley Railway and as it was my youngest 3rd birthday we just had to take a ride! Thankfully the fish n chip shop was still there, the same one I used to go to as a kid! It was also nice to see that my fave shop was still going, Rose & Co Apothecary and I treated myself to some essential oils, handmade soaps and old fashioned household soaps.
I couldn't resist but take photos of these wonderful signs, they really made me giggle!
Last Saturday we decided to go further afield, this time to the stunning town of Bakewell, famous for its delicious pudding. We had an amazing day, the highlight for me was finding what I would consider to be the most stunning gardens I have ever seen! My camera has gone everywhere with me recently as I am looking for the perfect scene to make into a collage. I have been itching to start on textile art again and now I am spoilt for choice. Too much choice now, but I have narrowed it down to the following 3 photos.
I love the one with the lady in the hat, seems so relevent!
This week we hope to attend the Yorkshire Show, weather and workload permitting! http://www.greatyorkshireshow.co.uk/
